MCC students create ‘Pay it Forward’ pantry

Each year students at Marshalltown Community College collect miscellaneous living items for a ‘Pay it Forward’ pantry. Students donated over 100 items such as cleaning supplies, kitchen materials, toilet paper, and other toiletries. Dan Juhl, Coordinator of Residence Life & Student Engagement, says this is great for students who don’t have much and for international students who come to the country with very little. Last year, 25 students took advantage of the items that were donated from the previous residents. “Students were incredibly surprised and grateful that we offered this service,” says Juhl.
