MCC Student Senate visits Woodbury Elementary

Members of the Marshalltown Community College Student Senate read to students (kindergarten through 2nd grade) at Woodbury Elementary School on Friday. Each month, the Student Senate chooses a topic or activity to participate in, whether it’s for fun or to raise awareness.
The students chose to visit Woodbury this month in recognition of National Children’s Day. Next month (Dec. 1 – ‘Day of Giving’) the group plans to deliver candy canes around campus with well-wishes such as ‘happy holidays’ or ‘good luck with finals!’
