MCC hosts Pumpkin Jamboree on Oct. 28
Wednesday / September 30, 2015

MCC student, Jesus Jimenez, hands out some candy at last year’s Pumpkin Jamboree at Marshalltown Community College.
Marshalltown Community College will host its fifth annual ‘Pumpkin Jamboree’ on Wednesday, October 28, on the MCC campus. Trick or treating will take place in the Residence Halls from 5-6:30 pm. The highlight of this year’s event is Chainsaw Juggler ‘Mad Chad Taylor’. As seen on the Progressive Insurance commercials, Mad Chad will perform his chainsaw juggling act from 7:30-8:30 pm in Babe Harder Gym. This event is free and open to the public.
“This is a great opportunity for our campus community to connect with the Marshalltown community,” says Chris Brees, MCC Director of Student Engagement and Residence Life. “It’s also an opportunity for our students that have children to share an evening of fun activities in a friendly safe environment. We have several different activities planned for the evening that will give our students the opportunity to interact with the youth of Marshalltown and surrounding communities.”
The night will feature gourd painting and cookie decorating from 5-7 pm in the Student Union. Other activities include face painting, beanbag toss, ring toss, bingo, web splat and bucket toss.
Come on out for a frightfully good time! All events are free and open to trick-or-treaters and their families. All games and events are geared toward children age 12 and younger. Walk-ins are welcome but we prefer if you would RSVP by October 19th to Daniel.juhl@iavalley.sites.flyinghippo.com. The event is sponsored by MCC Residence Life and Student Engagement.
